Come learn a new skill at the Village! We have guest teaching artists lead several different kinds of workshops so you can learn a new craft. Want to practice an old skill? You can do that at the Village, too! Scroll down to learn more!

Village Crafting Circle

FREE but registration is required and walk-ins will not be allowed.
Do you have a craft you enjoy? The Village will be open on select weekends for hand crafters to bring in their own supplies and socialize with other crafters. Historic Bread Making Class

Join us for a hands-on, 6-hour baking workshop where you’ll learn the art of traditional bread making—just like the early settlers did! You'll learn the basics of using a clay oven and explore early American bread-making techniques. No experience is necessary; all supplies will be provided. Beginner's Embroidery Class
Monday September 14 ǀ Ages 16 & older

Handcrafted: A Traditional Trades and Crafts Fair
Saturday September 26, 10am-5pm

/The Village will host people keeping alive traditional trades like blacksmithing, leatherworking, fiber arts, and woodworking, as well as crafts with a more modern twist. Visit with craftspeople as they practice their trades and watch the magic happen!
Craftspeople may have items to sell, but the emphasis for Handcrafted is on display, demonstration, and interaction. Know someone who is interested in participating in the show? Email apd@thvmail.org to learn more (there is no vendor fee).
