Log cabin building sets, bottle cap tops, Jacob’s Ladders, Tiddly Winks, classic marbles… the lists goes on and on! We are so excited to share that we have redesigned our gift shop and have stocked it full of the perfect affordable old-timey gifts for all the history-buffs in your life.

Speaking of history-buffs, we’ve got plenty of history books for the curious researcher in your life. Local titles include “Troy: A City from the Corners” “The Life of Solomon Caswell” and “The House with Two Tales” that will expand your local knowledge. Beat everyone at the next local history quiz!

Help fill up the holiday stockings with little items with big impact from our Village Store. Stock up on salt-water taffy, cashew crunch, stick candy, rock candy, wooden nickels, Troy Historic Village keychains, and festive sticker books—all priced affordably for you to grab as many as you can for what you need!

If pure Michigan maple syrup isn’t sweet enough for you, try some of our other maple products! Start with some simple variations like Vanilla or Three Bean infused Maple Syrup or even Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup or try some decadent seasonings that will elevate any dish.

Do you have an aspiring artist on your gift-giving list? Give the gift of a watercolor class! No experience is necessary in these classes, and all supplies are provided. These classes are appropriate ages 16 years and older.

Give your friends and family the Villager experience while supporting local history! In addition to free general admission and discounts on programs and events, Villagers enjoy lots of other benefits. All memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. If you’re purchasing a Watercolor Classes or another program, you can add a Membership on for the discount on workshop price as well as give a year-long gift!

Experience the Village come alive while celebrating the holidays during the 1850s-60s! Costumed reenactors will perform activities of the season like playing games, decorating, exchanging gifts, and calling on friends. Enjoy carols, kids’ crafts, hot cider and cocoa, and shopping for stocking stuffers in our general store. The theme this year is the Arts; learn about music, crafts, stories, and other artistic elements of the season.

Our volunteers have been hard at work spreading holiday cheer and decorating the Village indoors, while the Troy Garden Club has decorated outside of the buildings. We can't wait for you to see it! Try our self guided tour and scavenger hunts while you're here, too. Our sidewalks and entry ways are always shoveled and treated.
