Trick-or-Treating at Troy Historic Village is a swimmingly good time! Enjoy ocean-themed games and activities as your family explores the Village. Enjoy ocean-themed games and activities as your family explores the Village. Families can expect to spend 1-2 hours at the Village playing games, doing activities, making a craft, collecting candy and other treats, and making memories!

As always, Village trick-or-treating is friendly, not scary, and will have teal pumpkin options available.

This event is held rain or shine and includes indoor and outdoor activities.

Expect Under the Sea activities like

• Deep Sea Catapult (toss ping pong balls into buckets of water)
• Pirate Training Course (obstacle course)
• Friendly Fishing (catch magnetic fish with a custom built fishing pole)
• Pufferfish Bowling (bowling, but with a pretend pufferfish)
• Pin the Tentacles on the Jellyfish (return the tentacles to the jellyfish on a magnetic board)
• Angler Fish Cup Craft (make your very own angler fish to take home)

What to Expect

When you arrive, please check in for the event at the check in tent. There will be a line for pre-registered and day-of registration. Please be sure to arrive with your whole party at your scheduled reservation time. Once you check in, you will be given an overview of the program and can begin the fun!

Our Trick-or-Treat is always family friendly, and never scary. There is a combination of different activities and treat stops, and each child will go home with lots of goodies and memories of fun!

At the end of your program, you will exit through the gate on the side of the main building. We will have green signs to help direct your path.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Can I wear a costume? Yes! Costumes are not required to attend this event, but they are highly encouraged! When choosing your costume, please remember this is a family friendly event.
• Can I get a refund for this program? Due to the cost of producing the program and transaction fees, we can only offer a 50% refund up your request. We do not offer full refunds for this program unless we (the Village) cancels or reschedules the program. We would also be happy to convert your registration into a tax-deductible donation and send a receipt upon request.
• Do I need to bring a basket or a bag to collect goodies? Thanks to our generous program sponsor, Genisys Credit Union, we will be providing 1 bag per family to carry all your goodies! So, you can bring your own bag, but you don't need one!
• Can I bring a stroller or a wagon? Yes! We have a paved sidewalk throughout the Village. You are welcome to take the strollers and wagons inside the buildings (each one has a ramp entrance), and we ask that you are mindful about the spaces inside when driving the stroller or wagon through.
• Can I bring my dog? Only service animals are allowed at the Village. We strive to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable, so please leave your pets at home.
• How long does it take to go through the event? The average time to go through our Trick-or-Treat program is about an hour depending on how much you and your group are engaging in the activities!
• Will food and drinks be available? No, Troy Historic Village does not sell food, nor do we have water fountains. Please note we are a peanut free facility.
• Do you have quiet spaces to go if one of my group members needs a sensory break? Yes! Inside the Caswell House on the main floor or upstairs at the Parsonage. You can also ask us when you arrive - THV Staff and volunteers are ready and prepared to try and help accommodate your needs!
• What happens if I miss my time slot? Can I still come? Yes! Please do. Our last admission for Friday is at 7:20pm and Saturday is at 12:20pm, so just make it before then!

Parking & Directions

The Troy Historic Village is located at 60 W. Wattles Road, Troy MI 48098 (northwest corner of Wattles and Livernois). There are two parking lots at the Village. After you park, head inside the side gate of the main building (large, red brick building facing Wattles). We will have green and white signs to direct your path, and an ocean-themed backdrop welcoming you into the Village.
