Visit local sites to see historic preservation in action! Tours require standing and walking. The length of each tour is noted in their individual descriptions. Space is limited and preregistration is required. Participants will need to secure their own transportation to the tour site. Maps and information about where to meet will be sent out via email prior to the tour.

An Insider’s Tour of Albert Kahn’s Fisher Building

Location: Kahn’s Fisher Building located at 3011 West Grand Boulevard, Detroit
(Limited to 30 Guests | 1.25 hours long)

Get the insider’s tour of an Albert Kahn jewel! The 1928 Fisher Building is a landmark in the Detroit skyline and an Art Deco masterpiece. Beyond the beautifully decorated arcade, we’ll visit Fisher’s private office and take in views from the 22nd floor. Tour will be lead by Jacob Jones, a historian and preservationist on the board of the Albert Kahn Legacy Foundation (scroll down to register).

• How do I become a Troy Historical Society (THS) Member? Click here to learn more about becoming a member and to purchase a membership.
• Can I get a refund for this program? No, we do not offer refunds for this program unless we (the Village) cancels or reschedules the program. We would be happy to convert your registration into a tax-deductible donation and send a receipt upon request.
• Is this event held rain or shine? Yes, most of these off-site programs will take place rain or shine. We do monitor the weather and will adjust our programs as necessary.
• Will I be able to get around easily using my wheelchair or walker? Maybe depending on what tour your are looking at. For more information, please contact us at info@thvmail.org.
• Does everyone in my group need to be 18 years or older to attend the program? No, but this program is recommended for adults and seniors. Everyone will need to register for the event.
• Will food be available? No, Troy Historic Village does not sell food, nor do we have water fountains. You are encouraged to bring a bottle of water to any tour. *Please note we are a peanut free facility.
• Can I bring my dog? Only service animals are allowed at Village programs. We strive to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable, so please leave your pets at home.
