The City of Troy and Troy Historic Village will be celebrating America’s 250th Birthday on July 1 at Jeanne M. Stine Community Park. Peruse the Troy Farmer’s Market beginning at 3pm and then head over to the Great Hall for a short ceremony with fife and drum music at 5:30 pm. After the ceremony, cake will be served, and a Summer Concert featuring an Elton John Tribute Band will begin at the Troy Community Foundation Performing Arts Stage at 7pm. Those coming to celebrate America’s Birthday will also have the opportunity to play games, make crafts, and learn how to create their own time capsule at home.
