Walk-ins welcome to visit the Village! You can also scroll down or click here to purchase your tickets in advance to visit the Village while we are Open Late.
History Interpreters will be out and about from 4-7pm. Visit with our Village pioneers and learn about the various chores and activities they are working on – you may be able to help complete some of the activities, too! Activities might include how pioneers did laundry, real-time cooking or baking using historic recipes and techniques, demonstrations on hobbies like woodworking or knitting, and working in the garden! Activities will vary based on each date, so make sure to visit each time to learn or experience a new pioneer activity.

- Do I need to register in advance? No, but we would recommend it!
- What happens if I miss my time slot? Can I still come? Yes! Please do. Our last admission for 6:20pm which will allow you enough time to visit see the Village.
- I registered online, but I have friends/family that want to join. The more the merrier! They can purchase General Admission tickets when they arrive at the Village or online (you can all come together even if you register for different time slots).
- Can I bring a stroller or a wagon? Yes! We have a paved sidewalk throughout the Village. You are welcome to take the strollers and wagons inside the buildings (each one has a ramp entrance), and we ask that you are mindful about the spaces inside when driving the stroller or wagon through. Changing tables are available in General Store restrooms, and we have quite spaces through the Village if needed.
- Will I be able to get around easily using my wheelchair or walker? Yes! The Village offers three accessible parking spaces in our west parking lot. All buildings have wheelchair-accessible entryways. Buildings are connected by a wide paved pathway. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available inside the Old Tory Church.
- Will food or drink be available? No, Troy Historic Village does not sell food, nor do we have water fountains. You are welcome to bring a bottle of water, snacks, or a picnic dinner to enjoy outdoors on the picnic tables. Please note we are a peanut free facility.
- Can I bring my dog? Only service animals are allowed at the Village. We strive to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable, so please leave your pets at home.
- How long does it take to go through the Village? The average time to go through the Village is about 1 hour depending on how much time you spend talking with History Interpreters.
- Does the Village close when it rains? No! You can still visit us if it is raining! Remember the Village is a collection of buildings, so we suggest bringing an umbrella to keep you dry as you walk between buildings, but otherwise you will be inside the whole time. We do monitor the weather and are aware of severe weather threats and will adjust our programs as necessary.
