On November 10, 1975, the freighter S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald was caught in a terrible storm and sank in Lake Superior. Twenty-nine men perished. Join us as we revisit this tragedy using narration, dramatic reading, and sound effects.

This program takes place at Troy Community Center (3179 Livernois Rd, Troy, MI) and includes light refreshments.

What to Expect

When you arrive, please head to room 304/305 at Troy Community Center (highlighted in blue on the map below). Please be sure to arrive with your whole party as reservations will be under the name of the person who made them.

This is a dramatic telling of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerlad. It will include recorded and live sound effects such as the real radio broadcast from that fateful evening.

Light refreshments will be available before and after the program including gluten-free and sugar-free options.

Parking & Directions

Troy Community Center is located at 3179 Livernois Rd, Troy, MI 48083 (between Wattles and Big Beaver). There are two parking lots at the Community Center, and you can park in either one. After you park, head inside and go to room 303/304 (highlighted in blue on the map below). See map below for details.
