This event is held rain, snow, or shine, so please dress for the weather! All activities take place inside buildings, but you will need to walk outside to get from one building to another.
For accessibility information, please contact us at info@thvmail.org, or call us at the Village 248-524-3570.
What to Expect
When you arrive, please check in inside the Niles-Barnard House (large white building outside of the Village gates facing Wattles. Please be sure to arrive with your whole party at your scheduled reservation time. Once you check in, you will be given an overview of the program, then walk right over to see Santa & Mrs. Claus inside the same building.
After spending time with Santa and Mrs. Claus, there are a combination of crafts and activities throughout the buildings inside the Troy Historic Village for you and your family. We’ll have some hot cocoa for you to enjoy, and feel free to bring your own snacks if needed.
You can expect activities like:
- Extra special one-on-one time with Santa & Mrs. Claus
- Make a holiday-themed craft
- Make your own holiday card
- Play winter-themed carnival games
- Admire the historic-inspired seasonal decorations as you walk the historic grounds
- Sample the sights and smells of the season
- Warm up with hot cocoa, courtesy of the Troy Garden Club
- Take a family photo at our photo station
At the end of your program, you will exit through the gate on the side of the main building. We will have green signs to help direct your path.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I dress up? Yes! While it is not required to dress seasonally, it can make the event more fun!
- Do I need to bring a bag to collect goodies? Thanks to our generous program sponsor, Genisys Credit Union, we will be providing 1 bag per family to carry all your goodies! So, you can bring your own bag, but you don't need one!

- Can I bring my dog? Only service animals are allowed at the Village. We strive to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable, so please leave your pets at home.
