Explore local history and amazing places in your community with this scavenger hunt-style fitness challenge! Complete the activities at your own pace as an individual, family, or with a group of friends. Use the GooseChase smartphone app to play along on your mobile device or download a printable version to play “offline” instead. Walk, run, ride, roll, swim, paddle, stretch—move however you like as you work to complete as many missions as you can from June 1 – July 31. Includes our Village Fitness Challenge t-shirt!
How the Village Fitness Challenge works
Use the free GooseChase smartphone app to play along on your mobile device OR download a printable version to play “offline” instead.
Using GooseChase: You’ll complete missions that will send you all over Troy and beyond, and will require you to provide text, GPS location, videos, or pictures. When you register, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to download the free app and join the game. Earn points for each mission you complete. Play as an individual or form a team! We’ll be adding new missions throughout the Challenge, so keep an eye out for those.
Playing “Offline”: When you register, you’ll receive an email with the Village Fitness Challenge missions attached as a printable PDF. Print it out and check off the missions as you complete them.
Can I join the Village Fitness Challenge after June 1?
Yes! You can register any day between June 1 and July 31. Note that you’ll have much less time to complete the challenge if you wait until the end of the month! If you want a t-shirt, you’ll need to register by June 15.
T-shirt Details
If you sign up by June 15, your registration will include a Village Fitness Challenge t-shirt. You can buy multiple shirts at registration if you wish. Make sure to register no later than June 15–we can’t guarantee t-shirts for anyone who registers after June 15. Participants will be notified by email when t-shirts are available for pickup at the Troy Historic Village. We’re sorry, we can’t mail shirts this year!
