August 1, 6pm: Columbia Center & Huber Park Trail
101 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy (Columbia Center, near Big Beaver &  Livernois)
Starting from the Columbia Center, we’ll take sidewalks along Big Beaver through Troy’s City campus all the way to Huber Park, where the landscape changes to shady and wooded trails.
One loop through the park trail and then back out the way we came for a total distance of 3.2 miles. Options for shorter distance: turn around at the Library (for 1 mile total) or at the Troy Racquet Club (for 2 miles total).

August 8, 6pm: Lake Norcentra Park & Clinton River Trail
800 W. Avon Road, Rochester Hills (Rochester University, near Avon Livernois)
Lake Norcentra is a well-hidden gem of a park, with shady trails, murals, a lake, and water features. We’ll explore this park, then make our way northeast on the Clinton River Trail—also well-shaded!—with options to turn around at Division St. in Rochester for a total of 1 mile, or at
Elizabeth St. for a total of 3 miles.

August 15, 6pm: Birmingham Museum & Linden Park
556 West Maple Road, Birmingham (park in Chester Street parking deck off Martin St.)
Meet in front of the Birmingham Historical Museum for a walk on the lovely Linden Park Trail!  Do a simple out-and-back for a total of 1.75 miles, or add on a quick loop around Quarton Lake, too, for a total of 3 miles. Parking in the Chester Street deck is free up to 2 hours, but please
note that you will need a credit/debit card to enter the parking structure in your vehicle.

August 22, 6pm: Stage Nature Center
6685 Coolidge Hwy, Troy (between Square Lake Rd. & South Blvd.)
Discover the beauty of marsh lowlands, upland forests, grassy knolls, and thickets. Listen for the calls of native birds and be soothed by the calming sounds of the Rouge River headwaters as they trickle over rocks near the wood-chipped trails. Distance: 2 miles.

August 29, 6pm: River Woods Park & Clinton River Trail
Meet at River Woods Park (North Squirrel Road & M-59, Auburn Hills)
We start on the wooded trails of River Woods Park, accessible from North Squirrel Road, just south of M-59 in Auburn Hills. We’ll take trail into the Forester Square development and out onto the Clinton River Trail. In downtown Auburn Hills, we’ll swing by the newly-renovated
