More than our usual ‘guided ramble,’ this is an exploration of the challenges of reading and recording inscriptions. What can be done to save and restore headstones? Learn techniques to improve gravestone photos and understand some marker decorations. We’ll feature some light restoration techniques and suggest a good kit of tools to have with you when you visit a cemetery you want to help. Must be able to navigate uneven ground and stand for minutes at a time. This program takes place at Crooks Road Cemetery in Troy. Appropriate for ages 10 and up.
Price:
