Borrow a Book from the Village

We will have a limited number of free copies to lend out on a first-come-first serve basis by the beginning December 1, 2025. After you have finished reading the book, we ask you that to bring the book back to the Village so we can pass it along to the next person on the wait list.
After you complete the waitlist form, we will contact you as soon as a book becomes available. Books must be picked up at Troy Historic Village.
Borrow a Book Kit from the Village

If belong to a book club or want to create your own, you can borrow a Book Kit from us beginning December 1, 2025! After your group is finished reading, please collect all 10 books and Conversation Cards and bring them back to the Village so we can pass it along to the next group on the wait list.
Book Kits will come in a sturdy tote bag that include:
- 10 copies of Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant
- 1 pack of Conversation Cards with 40+ conversation prompts, facts, and extension ideas
- 10 Bookmarks (as supplies last - do not need to be returned)
After you complete the waitlist form, we will contact you as soon as a Book Kit becomes available. Book Kits must be picked up at Troy Historic Village.
Other Places to Find the Book
- Visit your local library to grab a copy of the book
- With your library card, you may have access to the digital platform Libby for a e-book or audiobook rental
- Split the cost of the book with a friend - come to the Book Discussions together!
- Purchase a copy from a local bookstore like Sidetrack Bookshop or Black Stone Bookstore & Cultural Center.
- Thriftbooks.com, Bookshop.org, and other online retailers are also an option!
