The Troy Historic Village is here to help with homeschooling history needs. Below are a few options THV offers to help you enrich the homeschooling experience.
The Our Community series of curriculum-based workbooks are designed as guides to help 1st , 2nd and 3rd grade students learn about history and communities. Each book contains history, science, math, social studies and language arts, as well as kid-friendly language and activities students will enjoy. You will also find that each page addresses at least one current state curriculum standard, meaning they are teaching resources you can rely on. Each installment includes both teacher/parent and student editions. Teacher/parent editions contain answers and additional information about each topic, so you are equipped to handle questions from inquisitive minds.
Bring your family and a few friends to enjoy some of our most popular field trip activities in socially-distanced, small group settings. Schedule your own Family Field Trip with your bubble at a time and date that works best for you. We would like a minimum of 8 people and scheduled at least2 weeks in advance. Call (248)524-3570 or email, Akonieczny@thvmail.org, for more information and to book your bubble.
Virtual Field Trips
Your groups can chat virtually with one of THV’s education staff. Call (248)524-3570 or email Akonieczny@thvmail.org for more information.
