Cemeteries might be spooky at night, but during the day they are a great way to learn about local history! Join us at Crooks Road Cemetery to explore gravestone symbolism and geology. Find out what we can discover about local history from a cemetery. Meets at nearby Boulan Park. Children ages 7-11 with an adult. A great option for scout groups and homeschools. Approximately 75 minutes.

Things to expect from your visit:
• Learn how Crooks Road Cemetery started almost 200 years ago
• Visit graves of two Revolutionary War veterans
• Put faces to the names on the stones
• Get to know five famous Troy families
• Search for cemetery symbols on markers
• Find a minister, a doctor, and one of Troy’s first women voters
