June 6th, 13th and 20th (no class May 23); 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Experience the art of blacksmithing as it was practiced in the late 1850s with this six-week introductory course. Learn how to work at an anvil, operate a forge and tend to a coke fire. Discover how malleable iron can be as you make your own hand trowel while learning 11 basic hand-forging techniques. Ages 12 & up. No prerequisite.
